Boardwalk and Stream Info

Here is our slide that we will be presenting for the Feb 14 presentation. The site plan is a general conceptual idea of where we would locate the boardwalk and where we would put time into restoring the stream. We have some conceptual designs for features that could be implemented into the boardwalk and the stream that will be presented Monday and uploaded at a later date. The slide also includes a sketch of the foudation being proposed for this project. The image shows how the soils between the two driven piles causes an arching effect that makes the soil to act as a shallow footing. Along with the image a simple bearing capacity calculation was performed with soils that could be representative of the soils within the environmental park.
